Thu, Apr 1st 2010 08:00 am

Congratulations to the crew at Republic Steel for outstanding Job Site Recycling!

The Republic Steel Job Site, lead by Foreman Bob Chilson, was selected as the April 2010 winner of our Job Site Recycling Incentive Program.  Bob was assisted by Todd Adamczak, Ken Brauner, Frank Caffrey, Marty Gawron, Jim Hillman, Bill Howes, Dave Jakubowski, John Lepore, Kevin Neff, Tony Scinta and Jerry West.

We'd also like to give an Honorable Mention to Ron Feneziani and his crew at the UB South Campus Fire Alarm job for their recycling efforts.  Keep up the good work!

Congratulations again to Bob and his crew, and thank you to everyone in the warehouse and out in the field who is working hard to make CIR's Job Site Recycling Program a success!

CANCEL UNWANTED SUBSCRIPTIONS
This month's tip is from Ed Dudkowski of John W. Danforth Company, August's Green Tip submission winner. Ed wrote: `Cancel subscriptions to unwanted trade publications, catalogs and magazines. I found that my recycle bin was constantly being filled with publications that I did not request. Last month I took the time to cancel four of these. Think of all the resources that could be saved if each one of us cancelled just a single publication. All of the energy and raw materials used to publish, print, transport, and recycle thousands of pages would be saved!`
